Port Melbourne, with its attractive strip and super homes tucked into hidden streets, has long been a seaside favourite. This new beauty has a modern and exciting feel, thanks to the extensive use of metal cladding.
An immaculate installation by the Total Roofing and Cladding team, fabricated by Architectural Cladding Suppliers makes this residence a real showpiece.
For this residential project, Interlocking panels were installed to complement the existing traditional materials such as timber weatherboards and corrugated roofing.
According to Lance Matthews from Total Roofing and Cladding, Interlocking finished in COLORBOND® steel Matt Monument® added a modern aesthetic to the residence.
As pictured below the combination of different materials and colours, modern and traditional allow for a fresh and simple architectural style.
Lance Matthews adds, “This project was intricate and required careful planning in both fabrication and installation. Due to the angled walls and windows, there was no margin for error to ensure the flashings fitted perfectly… As you can see it has come up beautifully.”
When we asked Lance, what type of metal cladding was his favourite and the industry trends he and the team were noticing in 2021 – Lance replied: “Interlocking and Standing Seam – each profile commands its place on specific projects due to its definition and appearance… They both provide an immaculate finish every time.”
In regard to the industry trends, Lance adds “Non-combustible cladding materials are a definite requirement… Working with materials such as COLORBOND® steel – especially Matt in any colour provides the strength, reliability, certification, and look our clients love.”
This was an outstanding installation by Total Roofing and Cladding and a residential project the ACS team was proud to supply and fabricate.
“We heavily rely on the technical support and quality fabrication of our metal cladding profiles and flashings from ACS… It’s all based on transparent communication. We have formed a great relationship based on trust and openness” concludes Lance.
Interlocking is a modern metal cladding profile that has a fresh and simple design element. Used predominantly in-wall and soffit cladding applications, panels can be installed horizontally, vertically, or even diagonally to add a dramatic, sophisticated look to any building façade.
