SHINGLES AND FLATLOCK
Shingles and Flatlock Metal Cladding share a similar profile design, however once installed two distinct cladding products are provided.
The variations in shingle style, size, and finish gives an infinite amount of options available to the specifier. Panels are folded into interconnecting tile shapes, often creating scale or diamond patterns, known as shingles. The thickness varies with the material but generally ranges from 0.5mm to 1.0mm. Shingle and Flatlock Metal Cladding is normally installed to a ventilated plywood substrate, however other substrates can be considered. A standard range of details are available, along with technical assistance on a project by project basis.
Shingles and Flatlock Metal Cladding can be manufactured using Steel, Galvanised Steel, Aluminium, Brass, Copper, Stainless Steel, Zinc, and Weathering Steel. For the best results, we recommend shingles and flatlock metal cladding be installed by experienced cladding professionals.
