BlueScope has recently launched a new colour palette, including some exciting new colours. They complement design trends while ensuring that the palette remains indicative of and responsible to the Australian landscape.
A considered process of planning, consultation, and curation has led to the next evolution of the COLORBOND® steel colour palette. The new colours are Dover White™, Southerly®, Bluegum® and Wollemi®.
- Dover White™ is a neutral colour and is an important extension to COLORBOND® steel’s pale tones. It brings a fresh direction to the colour palette and is endlessly compatible. Dover White™ is a bright white that will coordinate brilliantly with existing window manufacturers’ colours, powder-coated finishes and other building materials.
- Southerly® is a welcome addition to the palette, a light grey that mimics the neutrality of concrete. Southerly® will provide abundant possibilities in both residential and commercial designs by complementing concrete, pale timbers and light renders, while also contrasting with dark steelwork and rich-coloured brick.
- Bluegum® is a bold new edition to the COLORBOND® steel core range. This new ‘blue-grey’ is a relaxed grey, with a calming mid tone that will work comfortably in rural, coastal, and urban settings. The balanced nature of Bluegum® gives it immediate versatility and style, coordinating easily with dark timbers, honed stone finishes and grey paving. Bluegum® is also available in a Matt finish and the fencing colour range.
Wollemi® is exclusive to COLORBOND® steel’s core fencing range. It is a rich green with a hint of blue, capturing a nurturing and sophisticated tone. Wollemi can either be used as a dramatic backdrop to lush landscaping, or it can recede into natural surroundings.
COLORBOND® steel is a durable and resilient material, ideal for our harsh climate. Manufactured in Australia for Australians. If you’re looking for a sophisticated and strong colour palette for your next project, look no further.
The desired appearance, functional requirements, vision, and budget of your next project will determine the finish you select. Collaboration between architects, specifiers, manufacturers, fabricators, and installers is critical. This will help ensure the selected material finish and metal cladding/roofing system will provide durability and a long-lasting appearance to ultimately deliver the best outcome for all parties.
